Charla Mae Hand

STAYTON - Charla, 64, died January 2 in Salem. She was born in Albuquerque, NM to parents Charles and Mary Goodwin. Charla lived in Southern California for 37 years, raised three children, worked as an Administrative Assistant for 25 years, and moved to Stayton in 2003. She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Charla enjoyed the outdoors, cooking, gardening, and dancing. She was very sociable and loved to spend time with family and friends. Charla is survived by children: Shelly Sellers of Stayton, Sherri (Jeff) Crum of Sublimity, and Aaron (Cammy) Hand of Menifee, CA; brothers: Tom Goodwin of Palmdale, CA, Fred (Libby) Goodwin of Junction City, and Bill (Kathy) Goodwin of Wilsonville; and five grandchildren: Timothy, Sabrina, Hannah, Christian, and Emily. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Stayton at Noon with a viewing at 11am. Interment will be at Lone Oak II Cemetery in Sublimity immediately following. Contributions may be made to the Willamette Valley Hospice, Tokarski Home in Salem.
