Doris Meyers Obituary

Doris Anne Meyers

May 10, 1929 - February 23, 2011

TURNER ? Doris Anne Meyers passed away on February 23 at the age of 81. She was born May 10, 1929 in McMinnville, Oregon to Lee Earl and Rosalia Anne (Rossman) Emery.

Doris was raised in McMinnville and graduated from McMinnville High School. She married Harold Leroy Meyers on September 12, 1948. She and Harold owned and operated Turner Market for several years. In 1975, she joined the Oregon Christian Convention where she was a cook. Doris retired in 1995. Doris enjoyed cooking and had also worked for Turner Retirement Home. She was a member of Turner Christian Church.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband Harold in 2007. She is survived by her daughter, Carol Ruby of Lebanon; sisters, Enid Larsen of Portland and Nila Boyko of New Jersey; brother, Jim Emery of LaPine; four grandchildren, Samuel Ruby, Daniel Ruby, Jennifer Ruby and Kristine Ruby; and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15 at Turner Christian Church, 7871 Marion Road, Turner. Those who wish may contribute to Willamette Valley Hospice, 1015 Third Street NW, Salem, Oregon 97304 or Turner Retirement Home, 5405 Boise Street, Turner, Oregon 97392. Arrangements by Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service.

Carol, Sam, Danny and Girls,
I am so sorry for your loss. Your Grandma was a very special and sweet lady. The last time I saw her she was doing great.
