George K. Fox|

SALEM - George K. Fox, age 92, passed peacefully in sleep on April 2nd. He was born in Delta Mills, Michigan, moving to Oregon after serving in the US Army during WWII in the Signal Corp. He worked for the Highway Dept. of ODOT for over 30 years, retiring in 1983. He was a master craftsman and handy man, building several homes, and the family farm he cherished in the Macleay area.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 siblings, and wife Thelma. Survivors include, his stepdaughter, Debbie Markishtum Halladay (David) of West Jordan, UT, stepson, Gary Osborne (Cindy) of Peshastin, WA; several grandchildren, including Andrew Markishtum of Salem; and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 8 at City View Funeral Home and Cemetery in Salem.
