KEIZER - Family on three continents mourn the loss of Harold C. Theda, a resident of Keizer, who died at age 92, on April 4, 2006. Harold was born in Sprague, Washington in 1913. He graduated from the University of Oregon in 1935 and married Lucille in Portland in 1940. He was a 40-year resident of Monmouth (where he once served as Mayor), a member of Christ's Church in Monmouth, a life Mason, a Shriner and a member of the Elk's. Harold's love and encouragement will be missed by his wife of 66 years, Lucille; and their four children, Jim Theda of Portland, Betty Korfhage of Eugene, Jeff Theda of Redmond, Washington, and Jan Walker of Australia; and seven grandchildren living in Australia, Germany, California, Washington and Oregon. Even in his later years, Harold was known for his keen intellect, sharp mind, good physical health and his dry sense of humor. In fact, no formal funeral service will be held because Harold always said he would not attend if one was planned! Arrangements are by Poole-Larsen Funeral Home in Eugene.
