SALEM - Jacqueline Yarbrough Liscom passed away Feb. 6 in Salem, Oregon. She was born in Nashville, Tenn., but spent most of her life in Los Angeles. She graduated with honors from UCLA, and taught elementary school until becoming a mother and homemaker. Jackie was a strong, smart, generous and hospitable woman who delighted in serving others and being with children. She was preceded in death by her husband Les and is survived by her sons Bill and Dave, her daughter Jill Peters, her sister Caroline Heyler, and seven grandchildren. Jackie was well-loved by her family and many friends. We will miss her smile, humor, stories and positive outlook.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 22, at the South Salem Church of the Nazarene, 1661 Boone Rd SE, Salem. Donations in her memory may be made to Salem-Keizer Education Foundation, 233 Commercial St. NE, Salem, OR 97301 or online at www.skeducationfoundation.org.
