LAWRENCE HENRY DeLAPP
January 18, 1928 - October 20, 2013
Larry was born on January 18, 1928 in Salem, Oregon the son of Floyd S. and Nina C. Lathrop DeLapp. He graduated from North Salem High School in 1946. For more than 20 years, Lawrence worked for West Coast Grocers as a truck driver, retiring in the early 1990's. He served in the United States Coast Guard. He sold Christmas Trees from his Skyline farm and enjoyed traveling with the Alpenlite Fifth Wheel Club.
He is survived by his daughter Angie Sly of Keizer, sons Roland DeLapp of Salem and Mike DeLapp of Stayton and daughter Debra Thrush of Aloha along with eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers Wesley DeLapp of Keizer, Vern DeLapp of Salem and Orland DeLapp of Salem and a sister Ethelwin Golden of Salem. He was preceded in death by a son Kevin in 1983.
A private burial will be in the Willamette National Cemetery in Portland. The family suggests memorial contributions be given the Salem Union Gospel Mission in care of the Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center at 287 SW Washington St. Dallas, Oregon 97338.
