SALEM - Bob Wolfe was born in Salem, Oregon on November 26st, 1951 to Kenneth and Patricia Wolfe. He passed away peacefully on January 24th with his loving family by his side after a long and brave battle with cancer. He is preceded in death by his father Ken in 2001 and is survived by his wife Catherine (m.1989), his children Carri (Jason Harvey), Jenny (Scott Grim), Jared, and Nick, his mother Patricia and sister Pam (Reid Amborn), as well as four granddaughters Lily, Emma, Brooklyn and Abby.

Even though he was born in Salem, Bob and his family moved around Oregon to accommodate his father's job in the Oregon State Highway Department. Bob lived in Dayton, Eugene, Roseburg, Hermiston and ended up in Salem where he attended Parrish Middle School and graduated from North Salem High School in 1969.After graduating high school Bob attended what is now Western Oregon University in Monmouth.

Throughout his life, Bob was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed his time boating, waterskiing, hiking, camping, fishing and travelling with his family. Bob had the unique opportunity of seeing the Cove Palisades of Central Oregon before Round Butte Dam flooded it in 1964. Lake Billy Chinook became one of his favorite places to go boating and camping with his family. In his time as a Boy Scout, Bob hiked 72 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail in Oregon.

Bob began his lifelong career in the grocery business at Mayfair in Salem as a teenager and was able to buy his first car with the money he earned. He began a thirty-year career with Roth's Fresh Markets in 1983 and worked his way up to a manager position in 1990 at the Woodburn store. Bob worked in the Canby, Woodburn, Hayesville, and Sunnyslope stores. When he became unable to work at the store level, Bob started working at Roth's Food Center on the grocery procurement team. He is beloved by his co-workers, employees and most importantly all of the customers that he served in his time at Roth's.

Bob was a devoted father and even during his time of illness he was determined to see his granddaughters born and his youngest son graduate high school. He loved his kids and his grandkids that provided great joy to him.
