KEIZER - Susan Lee Bush Epley passed away peacefully on Friday January 31st. Born and raised in Salem, Oregon, Susan was a graduate of South Salem High School and Oregon State University. She married her high school sweetheart, Ken Epley, June 20, 1964. After living in Corvallis and Bandon, she and Ken returned to Salem to establish a home and start their family.
She worked full time for nearly 25 years as a maid, cook, launderer, chauffeur, mentor and warden, before slowing down to join her husband and family members in their pharmacy as the bookkeeper and gift area organizer. However, her most recent job as a grandmother she considered to be her most esteemed position ever held.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Ken; her loving brother, Bill Bush Jr. of Seattle (Janet), cherished children, David (Elizabeth), Dan, Diana (Brad), Karyn (Zach); and treasured grandchildren, Erick (14), Sarah (11), Liam (11), Phoebe(8), Ezra (5), Kellen(4) and Liv (3).
A memorial service and celebration of her magnificent life is to be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1444 Liberty St. SE in Salem at 10:30am on Wednesday February 12th.
