Darian King Obituary
Darian King January 2, 2003 - April 29, 2009 DALLAS - Darian King passed away peacefully in his home on April 29, 2009. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that he had touched throughout his short, yet memorable six years. Darian was a strong boy that fought a courageous battle with cancer and is now at peace, home with Christ Jesus. Darian was full of life until the very end. He loved his older brother, Bryson, and his four cousins, Josh and Aaron King and Andrew and Ethan Love. Darian was always up for a challenge - especially when it included Mario or Yoshi! Even through Darian's most challenging days, he possessed strength, determination, perseverance, and an ability to overcome incredible odds and physical challenges. With his courage he reminded us that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories. He enjoyed playing video games, watching SpongeBob and reading stories. He loved watching his brother and cousins play baseball and basketball. And he loved his Kindergarten class, Teacher Virginia and Pastor Ben. Darian is survived by his loving parents, Craig and Abby King; and brother, Bryson (Salem); grandparents, Bob and Connie Bowers (Monmouth), Tom and Marlena Fischer (Keizer), Leon and Vicki King (Sunriver); uncles and aunts, Gregg and Joy King (Salem) and Steve and Jill Love (Monmouth); as well as his great-grandmother, Ruth Dodge and his four cousins. With Darian's passing, we remind others that his life is one to be celebrated. Although we will miss him every day, especially his smile, he will forever remain in our hearts. We look forward to the day that we will see him again in Heaven. Darian's memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at Court Street Christian Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Child Life Department at Legacy Emanuel Hospital care of Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center, Dallas, Oregon.
