HAROLD "RUSTY" HOBBS

June 12, 1931 - February 4, 2014

GRAND RONDE - Harold "Rusty" Hobbs of Grand Ronde passed away Sunday, February 4, 2014. Rusty's is survived by his wife, Mrs. Vivian Gladys Hobbs of the Confederated Tribes Grande Ronde, his son Russ Hobbs, of Cle Elum, WA, his daughter Tauni McCammon, of Salem, OR and grandkids, Geoffrey and Holly McCammon and great grandson Morgan Madsen, all of Salem, Or. Rusty was a dad's dad, a grandkids' Grandpa and always there for the kids. He was a terrific grandfather to Morgan and they shared many hours together. Rusty will be remembered for his artistic talent and the light house he built along Grande Ronde road. Rusty will be missed by all of us who were touched by him in life.

Rusty spent 47 years in the propane industry, starting at age 18 and never looked back. He worked as a long haul driver, a serviceman, delivery man and a plant manager in those 47 years. He never asked of his employees anything that he was not willing to do himself, and usually did. One year he gave up a trip to the Super Bowl so his bookkeeper could go and another year he gave up a trip to the Caribbean so his delivery man could go . He won many awards and accolades from the propane industry in his 47 years. He was a very generous person and a giving man. He donated his raise one year to his employees so they would have a few more dollars in their paycheck. Rusty will be missed by all who knew him, especially his family. His humor will live on forever in our memories.

A private family service is planned. Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center is caring for the family. Online condolences may be left at www.dallastribute.com
