Marjorie Eggerth Obituary
Marjorie Marie (Bradley) Eggerth

January 19, 1923 - February 13, 2014

Marjorie was born in Sarepta, Louisiana on Jan. 19, 1923 to Gerden Guy and Mary Alice Bradley. She was the fourth of eight children. She came to know the Lord Jesus Christ as her own personal Savior at an early age. Her parents set the example for her life by faithfully serving their Lord and living what they taught their family.

Marjorie met her husband-to-be when she was in nursing school and he was training as a bombardier for the Army Air Corps during WWII. They were married in Sarepta in 1945 and moved to Richmond, California.

They raised their two sons, Douglas Jr. and Michael, in Richmond, returning often to Sarepta to visit her beloved family. They moved to Salem, Oregon in 1989.

She is survived by her sister Hazel Tyler of Minden, Louisiana, her brother Jamie Bradley of Sarepta, her children Douglas Jr. and Peggy (King) Eggerth of Salem, Mike and Linda (Keeter) Eggerth of Hercules, California, 6 grandchildren, Todd, Tim, Lori, Kristen, Lisa and Stacy; and 14 great grandchildren.

Services will be at 1pm Monday at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service. Interment will be at Willamette National Cemetery. Contributions may be to the Wounded Warriors Project.

She was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church in Salem, Oregon.

We praise The Lord that she is now standing in His presence and fellowshipping with her family and the other saints that preceded her. Marjorie passed into the presence of her dear Lord on February 13, 2014.
