Margaret Elizabeth Bernard

June 11,1926 - March 12, 2014

Margaret Elizabeth Bernard was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus on March 12, surrounded by her husband, Bert and several family members.

Margaret was born to Anthony & Grace Traeger in Timberlake, South Dakota on June 11, 1926.

When Margaret was 10 years old, she moved to Mt. Angel, Oregon with her parents and siblings. After graduation from Mt. Angel Academy, she worked at Mt. Angel Press as a proofreader. She also worked at the Benedictine Nursing center and Mt. Angel College.

In 1969, she married Albert "Bert" Bernard & moved to St. Paul where she worked at US Bank. Margaret served as a 911 dispatcher for St. Paul Fire Department while her husband was the Fire Chief.

Margaret & Bert enjoyed traveling together, attending shipmate reunions of the USS Concord, the Navy Ship that Bert had served on during WWII. They also took many trips with the Chemeketa Farm Tours.

Margaret's lasting legacy is her sweet sunny disposition, positive attitude and compassionate giving heart. She loved and cared for her many nieces and nephews as if they were her own children.
