May 14, 1946 - April 6, 2014

Cheryl Killian was lost to cancer April 10, 2014. She was born May 14, 1946 in Ketchikan, Alaska to Harvey and Agnes Bohannon. In 1974 she joined the Navy and spent the next 20 years in service to our country working in the commissary, as a Recruit Company Commander, service during the Gulf War on the USS Spear and finally in Naval corrections. She retired from the Navy in 1994 and in 1996 went home to Ketchikan to be near family. There she began a second career with the United States Post Office while beginning the pursuit of a college degree. She proudly graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business. In 2009 she, along with her mother Agnes, relocated to Salem to nearer to her children. Over the last five years she has become a member of Salem's pool community and was well known for her outgoing personality. She is survived by her mother Agnes Bohannon, daughters Kimber Sexton and Danielle Diggins granddaughter Irene Williams, her beloved animals Poppie, Honey and Hooks. She will be missed.
