Clarence Albert Haynes of Salem Oregon peacefully went home to his Lord and Savior on May 6, 2014. He was born in Willamina Oregon on July 14, 1923 to the late Paul & Vera (Blixt) Haynes.
Clarence attended school in West Stayton. He served in the US Army and was a WWII Veteran. He was awarded the following medals: America Theater Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, European African Middle Eastern Service Medal and the Victory Medal.
Clarence married Tillie (Lucas) Haynes on November 25, 1951 and has celebrated 62 years of marriage. They have lived in Salem Oregon throughout their married life.
Clarence worked for Oregon Flax, Ashton Hills and 30 years with Boise Cascade.
He enjoyed farming, gardening and spending time with his family.
Clarence had two brothers that preceded him in death; Carl (1937) and Harold (1977).
Clarence is survived by his wife; Tillie, three sons; Michael (Dorothy), John (Toddi), and Carl (Amy) Haynes as well as six grandchildren; Elizabeth, Michelle, Brandon (Kasie), Charise (Jason), Raquel, and Cheyanna Haynes.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Willamette Valley Hospice.
Services will be held Monday May 12th at 1:00 p.m. at Howell, Edwards, Doerksen with Rigdon-Ransom Funeral Directors 1350 Commercial St SE Salem, OR 97302. Viewing will be available prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Private Interment: Belcrest Memorial Park Salem OR.
