Alex was born in Eugene, Oregon but lived in several countries, including South Korea, Africa and Thailand, in the early part of his life.
He was a graduate of South Salem High School and attended the University of Oregon, studying mathematics and physics. He spent three years as an Army Ranger in Germany before he was honorably discharged due to injury. He returned to Oregon and received a geology degree from Portland State University. He spent most of his career as a geophysicist, residing in Nevada. He passed away suddenly at his home in Las Vegas.
He is survived by his mother, Susan LeTourneau, of Salem, Oregon and his sister, Catherine LeTourneau, of New York City. He is preceded in death by his father, Bernard LeTourneau. Arrangements are by Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service.
