Edwin M. Nething

March 9, 1930 - February 14, 2011

WOODBURN - Edwin M. Nething, 80 died Monday Feb. 14, 2011 in Woodburn. Born in Valley City, N.D., he was a veteran of the Korean War, as a member of the U.S. Army, where he met his beloved wife Lorrie Heer. They later married Jan 1, 1951 in Drake, N.D. Edwin and his family moved to Woodburn, OR in 1955 where he worked for McClaren School for Boys than later joined and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. Survived by his children, David and Dawn Nething of Canby, Candy and Rob Annen of Mt. Angel, Jay and Nancy Nething of Salem; brother, David and Marge Nething of Jamestown, N.D.; grandchildren, Kasey Tavera, Chris Nething, Jamie Farnsworth, Craig Nething; great grandchildren, Chelsea Nething, Noah Tavera, Alexander Tavera, Connor Nething, Gabriela Farnsworth, and Kennedy Nething. Edwin is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lorrie; son, Jarret; and sisters, Dorothy and Marlen. A Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb 18, with viewing starting at 10 a.m. at Crown Memorial Center ? Salem. Interment at Belle Passi Cemetery, Woodburn, OR. Contributions may be made to Odyssey Hospice, Salem, OR.
