Anton "Tony" Victor Pfeifer Jr.

March 28, 1920 - January 20, 2013

SILVERTON - Tony Pfeifer, 92, was born to Anton Sr. and Anna (Zimmerman) Pfeifer in Hays, Kansas. He served in the Air Force during WWII. He married Nina M. Schaefer on January 15, 1948 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mt. Angel. She preceded him in death on September 3, 2008.

Tony worked as a carpenter and electrician. He belonged to the American Legion, VFW, Knights of Columbus and St. Paul's Catholic Church. He enjoyed woodworking also as a hobby.

Tony is preceded in death by his wife, Nina; sisters, Helen, Agnes, Cecelia; brothers, Richard, Francis, John, Leo, Joseph, Robert.

He is survived by his daughter, Jayne Rosamond; son, Gerald Pfeifer; sisters, Mary Gasper, Ann Johnston, Alice Weisenfels; grandsons, Rob Rosamond and Eric Wilder.

Visitation will be 1 pm to 6 pm, Friday, January 25th and 1 pm to 8 pm, Tuesday, January 29th both at Unger Funeral Chapel in Silverton. A Rosary will be held at 7 pm, Friday, January 25th and a Mass will be held at 1 pm, Wednesday, January 30th both at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Silverton. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Mt. Angel.
