Maurita A. Silbernagel
August 22, 1938 - July 24, 2013
LYONS - Maurita, 74, died July 24 in Lyons. She was born in Hubbard and grew up in Mt. Angel until moving to Lyons in 1959. Maurita was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sublimity. She owned and operated Maurita's Beauty Corner in Lyons. Maurita later worked at Santiam Cleanery, Santiam Vision and for auctioneer Rick Lange of Silverton. She enjoyed traveling and gardening. Maurita loved life and people, which you could always see, with the big beautiful smile that she always had. She married Jim Silbernagel on April 4, 1959 in Mt. Angel. Maurita is survived by her husband: Jim of Lyons; children: Dan Silbernagel of Stayton, Karen Strange of Canby, Kelly Namitz of Lyons, Marty Silbernagel of Salem, Brian Silbernagel of Salem and Jude Silbernagel of Sublimity; brothers: Roy Jaeger of Happy Valley and Don Jaeger of Salem; sister: Joan Fowlds of Salem; 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister Corrine Etzel. Recitation of Rosary will be Friday, August 2, 2013 at 7:00 pm and Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, August 3, 2013 at 11:00 am both at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sublimity. Interment will be in St. Boniface Cemetery in Sublimity. Contributions may be made to Regis High School, St. Mary Elementary School,
or to Lung Cancer Research. Serving the family, North Santiam Funeral Service, Stayton.
