Born March 5, 1926, to Casper & Catherine Hershfelt of Salem, OR. Dorothy showed her artistic ability at a very young age and developed into a multi-faceted professional. She had three children with her husband, Robert D. Hinkle Sr.: Robert Jr., Linda Ross and Cindy Hinkle. Dorothy was the perfect hostess to the doctor's colleauges and fellow Masonic Lodge members. She loved interior decorating and gourmet cooking. Dorothy and Don returned to Salem to retire near family. Dorothy achieved award-winning status with her oil paintings. She made generous donations to many charities, an avid reader and enjoyed family gatherings that included many friends & extended family and loved ones. Dorothy died in her home surrounded by love on July 26th, 2013. Survived by her daughter, Cindy Hinkle and her brother Guy Hinkle.
