Violet Mae Galland Wendler
April 10, 1921 - July 21, 2013
Vi went to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully. Born in Marshfield, OR to Jesten and Ellen Kolz Galland, raised in lower Yakima Valley, WA. Married John D. Wendler and lived in Alaska for 22 years, raising a family in Ketchikan, Sweard and Dillingham, Alaska, then Lakeview, OR and Reno, NV. Retired to Pedee and Keizer, OR and finally Bend in 2010.
She loved country life and spent many hours gardening, reading, cooking and sewing. She loved life, devoted to her family and friends.
She was a member of Pedee and Keizer Community Churches, the Military Order of the Purple Heart, and the Alaska Club.
She will be missed by her 2 daughters, Gale Bloch, of Puyallup, WA and Gwen and Jim Millard of Bend, OR. One daughter-in-law Argelida Wendler of Wellington, FL. Four siblings and grandchildren; Jennie and Jim Walsh, Marc and Greg Bloch, Bryan and Heaven Beacham, Kelly and Todd Hoodenpyl, Pat Millard, Doug and Charise Millard, Josh Wendler, Johnny and Tara Wendler and 14 great grandchildren. She joins her husband, John of 50 years and daughter Jackie Beacham and son John L., and 10 siblings.
