Philip Lee Brown passed from this earth, August 22, 2013 at the University of Wash. Medical Center after a battle with complication from his lung transplant. He was 58 yrs. old.
Philip was born to John & Helen Brown in Indiana. He lived in Portland and Salem for several years before moving to the Stayton area 13 yrs ago.
Main employment included: Layton Manufacturing, Brondage Bone Concrete Pumping, Roberson Chrysler and co-owner of the original Learning Tree Preschool and Daycare in Stayton. Philip excelled in all these areas of employment.
Cars were a huge part of Philip's passion - always fascinated by their speed and beauty. He was a consistent NRHA race fan. At one time, he raced a bracket car in the Seattle area. Philip spent many hours restoring and painting classic cars in his own shop. He loved to see them come to life. Other pastimes included deep-sea fishing with family & friends; music, which touched Phil with its memories and lyrics.
Philip is survived by his wife Jamie Brown at their home in Stayton; his children - John Brown and family, Portland, OR; Anthony Brown, Sacramento, CA; Lucas Fulkner, Salem, OR; Chasse Davidson and family, Newport, OR; and Emily Yurek, Portland, OR; two brothers - John Steven Brown and family, Banebridge, IN; and Tom Brown and family, Lakewood, CA; all of which were the center of Philip's heart.
