Patty Huff of Amity, Oregon, died peacefully at home from cancer. Services will be held at Bethel Baptist Church, McMinnville on Saturday, November 2 at 2:00 PM with a reception to follow.
She was born December 4, 1948 in San Francisco, California to Mercer and Dessie Hart.
Patty spent her childhood in Pacifica, California and her high school years in Sebastopol, California. On November 25, 1967 she married Max Huff and spent the rest of her life loving him and their three sons Darrell, Daniel and Derek.
Patty worked as a legal secretary, a school secretary (Amity Elementary, St. Vincent's Catholic School in Salem and Gervais High School) and as a receptionist and volunteer at McMinnville Church of the Nazarene. She was a Cub Scout leader for many years and was the director for Camp Yamhelas (Cub Scout camp).
Patty enjoyed reading, traveling and went on many work and witness trips with her husband and church family. She was Women's Ministries Director at McMinnville Church of the Nazarene and taught Precept Bible Study - the passion of her life. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Patty is survived by her husband Max; son Darrell Huff of McMinnville; grandsons, Cody Huff of McMinnville, Christopher Huff of Kauai, Daniel Huff of Dundee and Crimson Huff of Utah; granddaughter, Cameron Huff of Renton, Washington and great granddaughter, Scarlet Huff of McMinnville; father, Mercer Hart of Dudley, NC; brothers, Gary (Barbara) Hart of Oregon City and Glen (Christie) Hart of St. Louis, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her sons Daniel Huff in 1991 and Derek Huff in 2012 and she was so excited to see them again in Heaven!
