I got to know Chris when I featured his landscaping efforts on The Record's Gardens page. We had a mutual interest in roses and would talk on the phone from time to time.
I was sad to learn of his passing last month. This week, while weeding one of my rose beds, I was reminded of the enjoyable conversations we had.
My condolences to his sons.
