Charles "Chuck" William Burres Sr., 85, passed away Nov. 9, 2012, at Flagler Hospital.
He was a lifelong resident of St. Augustine. Chuck served in the Navy in World War II.
He was the manager of the Handy Way on State Road 16 for 35 years.
He was also a member of the American Legion.
A graveside memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Craig Memorial Park, pastor Clarence Blalock, officiating. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Dempsey and Lester Burres and sister, Christine Funk.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Virginia Booth Burres; sons, Charles "Chuck" and Kelly Burres; daughter, Donna Burres-Colee; brothers, Donald and Ronald Burres; sisters, Helen Wiley and Fannie Barnett; grandchildren, Cheryl, Ricky, Kelley, Michele, Nykki, Ashley and Sarah; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Payton, Emily, Logan, Tyler, Travis, Landon and Gavin.
