fan - GO GATORS!
Sally welcomed all into her home and heart. She loved any occasion to celebrate, especially birthdays and Sunday dinners complete with elegant table settings. She had many talents: a terrific planner and organizer of any event, gardening, flower arranging, cooking and entertaining. Sally's career in administration and management included work at Emory Clinic, her husband's State Farm agency and most recently the Riverview Club. She enjoyed serving her church and participating in numerous volunteer activities. Sally was active and served in the DAR (Maria Jefferson Chapter), The Woman's Exchange and Daughters of the King. She forged many wonderful friendships through her volunteer work. Sally was remarkably strong, energetic, passionate and admired for her organizational skills and get-it-done attitude. She defined courage, grace and gratitude. She lived life to its fullest and found joy in each day. Sally will be deeply missed. She has earned her silver wings and joined the host of angels in heaven. Well done, good and faithful servant.
Sally's greatest joy and source of pride was her family. Survivors include her husband, Thomas S. Canfield III, whom she has lovingly cared for; children, Catherine Canfield and her husband, Donald Staples, Thomas S. "Tod" Canfield IV, Heather C. Wright and Christina Canfield, all from Atlanta; grandchildren, Brandon Canfield, Jennifer Block, Shawn and Steven Wright, Tristan Wiggins and Ansley Conley; great-grandchild, Parker Block; brothers, Clark and Richard Woodworth; and sister, Charlotte Shoemaker, all of the Tolono/Champaign, Ill., area.
Sally is survived by many wonderful cousins, nieces and nephews, and she cherished her friendships with her P.K. Yonge classmates and St. Augustine Shores neighbors.
