Ronald Charles Stanch, 76, passed away May 7, 2014. Ronald was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on Aug. 14, 1937, to the late George and Lillian Bulgozdy Stanch. He attended local schools and the Ohio State University. He served in the U.S. Army, Infantry Division.

He married his high school sweetheart, Arlene Watts, in 1958 and they had three children. The family relocated to St. Augustine, Fla., in 1972. Ronald retired from Tree of Life Inc., where he was the director of purchasing. He was a longtime member of the Elks Lodge #829 in St. Augustine, Fla., and was active member of Memorial Presbyterian Church, serving as elder, deacon, usher and Sunday school teacher. Arlene and Ron retired to Ocala, Fla., in 2001 and were members of First Presbyterian Church. He was a community watch person at the Oak Run Country Club.

Ron was an avid golfer, small plane pilot as well as an Ohio State University, Cleveland Browns, and Cleveland Indians fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He had a good sense of humor with a quick wit and was a friend to all. He will be missed by many.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Arlene; three children: son, Jeff (Jodi) Stanch; daughters, Suzan (Dennis) McVeen, and Elizabeth Muse; six grandchildren, Daniel and Lydia Maguire, Chelsea and Zachary Stanch, and Terry and Kristin Muse; sister, Georgene (Lee) Deal; and several nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2014, at the First Presbyterian Church, 511 S.E. 3rd St., in Ocala. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the .
