Amy Michelle Mickler, age 31, of St. Augustine, died unexpectedly on July 17, 2013, at Putnam Community Hospital.
A native and lifelong resident of St. Augustine, Amy was a graduate of the Cosmetology School at the First Coast Technical Center in St. Augustine. She worked as a hair stylist at Studio 4 Hair Salon and had previously worked for Spoiled Beauty Salon. Amy was a free spirit and was very artistic. She enjoyed capturing the beauty of her life through her art. She had a big heart and a generous nature, always putting other"s needs before her own. Many will remember her for her beautiful smile and kind soul. Above all, it was evident to everyone who knew Amy that her son Kaden was the love of her life. She was a truly devoted mother, as well as a cherished daughter, sister and granddaughter, and she will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her son, Kaden Robert Joiner; parents, Al and Karen Mickler of East Palatka; sisters, Carrie Mickler-Gauch and Ashley Mickler, both of St. Augustine; paternal grandparents, Cynthia and Pete Sherrill of Sampson; paternal grandfather, William A. Mickler of Nahunta, Ga.; and grandmother, Linda Mickler of St. Augustine. She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Jack and Deloris DePriest.
A private memorial service will take place. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made for the education of her son. Those wishing can make a deposit to the saving account of Kaden Robert Joiner at any Bank of St. Augustine location.
