Herman Larry Amerson of St. Augustine, formerly of Macon, Ga., and Stoney Point, N.Y., passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2014, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2014, at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street with the Rev. Paul Dziadul, officiating. The family will greet friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Middle Georgia Memory Gardens.

Larry was born in Macon to the late Hazel Marie King Amerson and Walter Lee Amerson. He was the retired owner/operator of Seafood Market Center. After retiring, Larry gave ghost tours in St. Augustine, Fla. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing and getting together with his family. He was preceded in death by his brother Jack Amerson.
Larry is survived by his wife: Sue Amerson; daughters: Lynn (Alfred) Murphy of Montgomery, N.Y., Remi Amerson of Greenwood Lake, N.Y.; granddaughters: Meghan, Jessica and Erin all of Montgomery, N.Y.; stepson: Skip Grant of Macon; grandson: Trey Grant of Cleveland, Tenn.; brother: W.L. Amerson of Macon; and a host of friends and family.
