Jacqueline Berger Obituary

Jacqueline Delight (Keefover) Berger, 86, of St Augustine, Fla., passed through the pearly gates of heaven into paradise on the 18thÊof June 2011 at her home in the company of her loving family. She was born to the parents of Claude and Mary Keefover of Waterville, Kan., in 1925.

Jackie resided in Topeka, Kan., with her late husband Joe Berger until 1997 at which time they moved to Crescent Beach, Fla. While in Topeka she had an accomplished career as aÊ hair stylist owning and operating two different beauty salons, Jackie"s Beauty Salon, and Jackie"s High Fashion Wigs Salon.Ê

ÊShe was a gifted and talented artist and owned and operated Jackie"s Ceramic Shop and taught the techniques of porcelain doll making. She was a charter memberÊofÊCherished Doll Club of Topeka Kan.,Êmember of the NationalÊ Association of Doll Makers and Doll Artisan Guild.

ÊAfter the retirement of her husband from JB Travel Club, she and Joe moved to Crescent Beach were she continued with canvas paintings and many other artistic endeavors.Ê She was a beautiful loving person who touched the souls of many who knew her.

ÊMemorial services will be Tuesday at 9 a.m. at Anastasia Catholic Church. Flowers are gratefully declined, and those wishing, may make a contribution in her memory to theÊSusan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

ÊJackie is survived by:Êdaughter, Jeannie J. Berger; three sons, Doyle B., Joseph Jr. (Laurie). and Randy S. (Bambi) Berger; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. There were 10 brothers and sisters,ÊÊ James, Joan Hammett, Geraldine Seward, Rolland Keefover, DeAnn Humphrey,Ê Claudette Spain, and Daniel Keefover.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life husband Joseph Berger and brothers Gail Keefover andÊ MichaelÊ Keefover.

ÊCraig Funeral Home Crematory Memorial Park is in charge of arrangements.

My wife Sarah (Farrell) Latchford and Jackie were life long friends. Now I know they are together again with all their loved ones passed. She has left behind some great memories and will be missed. My condolences and prayers go out to all the family.

You will not remember me ,but my dad is Floyd Hearn. Jakie and dad would be cousins I believe.
He wanted me to express our condolences. He talked of her often over the years. He is 90 and lives in a rest home here in Marysville Ks. Our Prayers are with you all.
