Elaine C. (Hoar) Stover, 80, born in Springfield, Mass., entered into eternal rest on April 5, 2014, at her residence. She was the daughter of the late David B. and Marion C. (O'Brien) Hoar. She was a 1951 graduate of Cathedral High School and a 1955 graduate of Our Lady of the Elms College with a bachelor's degree in education. She taught elementary education in Springfield, Mass., Warner Robins, Ga., Mary Esther, Fla., Newport News, Va., and Sylvester, Ga., where she retired in 1991. She was a member of St. Anastasia Catholic, where she was a Lay Reader, Eucharistic Minister and many other church functions and activities. She was a member of the Woodland Garden Club. A Mah-Jongg player, a volunteer with Flagler Hospital, Learn to Read, Mayo Satellite Clinic of St. Augustine, Catholic Charities and helped with the restoration of the stained glass windows at the Cathedral Basilica in St. Augustine.

She was married to Charles W. Stover in 1957 at St. Michael's Cathedral, Springfield, Mass.
She is survived by her husband Chuck; four daughters, Carol A. Trimble, Jackson, Ga., Margaret M. Turner, Raleigh, N.C., Elaine M. Stover, Jacksonville, Fla., Diane B. Stover, Atlanta, Ga.; and one son, Charles M. (Julie) Stover, Colorado Springs, Colo.; one sister, Marion B. Hoar, St. Augustine; two brothers, Edward P. Hill, California and Richard Shoar of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; and eight grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents and three brothers, Beaven Hoar, Lawrence Hoar, David F. Hoar and sister, Jean.
Memorial service will be 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Anastasia Catholic Church, Father Seamus O'Flynn, officiating.
