Ormel Leroy Kline, 95, St. Augustine, died April 20, 2014, at Moultrie Creek Nursing Home. He was born in Warsaw, Ind. "O.L." and his wife Grace vacationed in South Florida in 1965 and moved to Palm Beach County in 1966. They moved to St. Augustine in 1984. In his early years, Ormel was active in the Gideon Christian ministry and also could often be found either leading music or sharing the message of Christ in an area church pulpit. In his later years he served as a chaplain at Flagler Hospital and was active in local churches in the St. Augustine area.

Ormel was a skilled and talented outdoor sign artist. He developed his talent as a young man to support his new bride and upcoming "full house" of children. With this skill he started his own business in Indiana, moved and started his business a second time in South Florida and then again a third time in St. Augustine.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Grace Virginia (Karns) Kline, his second wife of 12 years, Alice Freeman Kline and his oldest daughter, Ilene Bunn.
He is survived by one daughter, Kathie Grubb and Tom, Lake City, Fla.; three sons, Roger Kline and Nancy Sikes-Kline, St. Augustine, Les Kline and Mary Kline, Orlando, Mike Kline and Barbara Kline, Atlanta, Ga.; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2014, at St. Johns Family Funeral Home with Gary Welter, officiating.
