Lonnie Tyler Dennis Jr., 89, of St. Augustine, passed away on April 13, at the Golden House A.L.F. in St. Augustine. Lonnie was born and grew up in Whitefish, Mont., and served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After the war, he went to work in the Aerospace Industry for North American Aviation in California, and later Rockwell and Boeing in Columbus, Ohio. He finished his career with Northrop Grumman in New York and St. Augustine. He had been a resident of St. Augustine since 1990. He was a member of the Navy League and an avid golfer, and member of the St. Augustine Shores Men's Golf Association.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene M. Dennis. He is survived by five children.

Interment services will be held at Jacksonville National Cemetery at a later date.
