Caton H. Fudge, 64, passed away at Moultrie Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on April 19, 2014, after a long battle with MS. He was born in Rock Island, Ill., on Feb. 20, 1950. Most of his life was spent in Orlando. He had resided in St. Augustine for the past 10 years. He went to college at the University of Florida where he received a B.A. in history. He was the author of several books and published a small newsletter called "The Palmetto Bug" in Palmetto, Fla. He was a world traveler before he became ill.

Private services are planned.

Caton is survived by a sister, Alison L. Walsh, of St. Augustine; three nephews and one niece.
