Lois M. Biros, 91, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2014, in her hometown of Grand Haven, Mich. She was born on Oct. 27, 1922, to Henry and Anna (Exter) Ringelberg, and graduated from Grand Haven High School in 1940. She was the younger sister of Gertrude Darling, John Ringelberg, Harriett Ringelberg and Henry Ringelberg Jr.

In 1946, Lois married George Biros following his return from World War II. Lois was a loving, patient mother to her seven children: Donna (Michael), St. Augustine, Fla.; George Jr. (Terri) both deceased; Anne (John) Boynton, Paw Paw, MI; Marilyn (Wayne) Biros-Eagleson, Spring Lake, Mich.; MaryJane (Tracy) Farnquist, Grand Haven; David (Karen), Stillwater, Okla.; and Dale (Maria), Shoreview, Minn. Her grandchildren include, Stephen, Marla and Derek Boynton, David and Leah Farnquist, Jacob and Joshua Biros, and Luke and Sarah Biros; and seven great-grandsons.
After a 30-year retirement in St. Augustine, Lois returned to Grand Haven, in 2011.
Lois loved knitting, reading and volunteering. (Each of her children and grandchildren received a highly cherished knitted afghan.) She had a wonderful sense of humor. But most importantly, she was a woman of great faith and character, amazing everyone with her ability to not worry, but place everything in God's hands.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband, George Biros Sr., son, George Biros Jr., daughter-in-law, Terri Silcox Biros, granddaughter, Laura Farnquist, and all of her brothers and sisters.
Funeral arrangements are being made by Craig Funeral Home, St. Augustine, Fla. Graveside services will be held at Craig Memorial Park at 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2014, with the service delivered by Pastor Sanford Colley of Moultrie Baptist Church.
