Frances "Frankie" Martin Suhar passed on July 16, 2014, following a nearly decade-long illness. Born in Charleston, S.C., Frankie spent most of her life here in St. Augustine, graduating from St. Augustine High School in 1963 and retiring from Bellsouth in 1996. Frankie was known throughout her large extended family as being kind and generous to all, especially her children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. The model of selfless service, Frankie spent her life serving others and putting their needs before her own.
Frankie is predeceased by her parents, Quincy and Henrietta Martin, and sister, Marjorie Robinson, all of St. Augustine. She is survived by daughter, Yvette (Robert) Keating; and son, Mark (Shellie) Suhar; grandchildren, Henry and Harrison Keating and Mahki and Trevor Suhar. She is also survived by sisters, June Adams, Barbara Cowart, Toni Robinson; and brothers, Ronald Martin and Curtis Martin.
Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Monday, July 21, 2014, with a memorial service at 2 p.m., both at Craig Funeral Home. Interment will follow immediately at Craig Memorial Park.
