Valrie Crigger Blalock, 82, of St. Augustine, passed away on July 20, 2014, at Bailey Family Center for Caring with her family by her side. Born and raised in St. Louis, she lived most of her life in St. Augustine. She worked at the Waffle House as a waitress for six years and worked for many years for Leonard Studios. More than anything she was a devoted wife, a wonderful homemaker and loving mother and grandmother, and she will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her sons, Richard Lee Dietrich (Valarie) of Baton Rouge, La., Michael Dietrich of St. Augustine; a daughter, Debbie Ogletree of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Crestene, Timmy, Kathy, seven great-grandchildren, and adopted family members, Vivian and Don Heath and their family, and Jackie and Jackie Corbin and their family.

St. Johns Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
