Julio Kam (Selles) died on Friday, Aug. 1, 2014, at the Samantha R. Wilson Care Center, after a long battle with cancer. He was born in the Republic of Panama on Oct. 27, 1924, and worked for many years for the Chase Bank in Panama. He had a wonderful sense of humor, a generous spirit and was an accomplished chef. (He loved his Chinese food!) Living in St. Augustine for over 20 years, he was a regular on the Sunshine Bus and enjoyed working with the fine folks at Work Source.
Julio was preceded in death by his three older brothers, William, Harry and George. He is survived by his only sister, Sylvia Lelaidier of St. Augustine and her three daughters, Cecelia O'Neill and Gloria Lelaidier of St. Augustine and Yvonne Klappa of Rhinelander, Wis., and many other nieces and nephews in the U.S and Panama.
The family would like to thank the staff at Bayview and Community Hospice for their loving care throughout his lengthy illness. We loved him and will miss him. Private services are pending.
Craig Funeral Home Crematory Memorial Park www.craigfuneralhome.com is in charge of the arrangements.
