Emery Lee Butcher, 82, of St. Augustine, Fla., passed away July 31, 2014, at the Bailey Center.
He was born in Braxton County, W.Va., and has resided in St. Augustine for the past 33 years.
Emery served in the US Army and worked in the construction industry. He was of the Catholic faith and will be missed by many loving friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his brother Carl Butcher.
Emery is survived by daughters Theresa Butcher of Mastic, N.Y. and Gail Zimmerman of Lake Grove, N.Y., sons, Steven Butcher of Simi Valley, Calif., and Paul Butcher of St. Augustine; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren along with six nieces and loving friends Bill and Judy Lennon.
Flowers are gratefully declined and contributions can be made to St. Jude Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
