Joseph J. Dunn, 85, St. Augustine, died Oct. 3, 2010, at Flagler Hospital. Born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, he moved to New York at the age of 10. He had resided in St. Augustine for the past 21 years, moving here from Roxbury, N.J. He graduated from St. Johns University with a bachelor of science degree in pharmaceutical chemistry and worked in medical equipment sales, which included working as government contract manager with Clay-Adams. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked with the chaplain"s office, stationed in the Philippines. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Ancient Order of the Hibernians at St. Michael"s Catholic Church in Netcong, N.J., and he was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church.
Memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date at Corpus Christi Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Nancy (Farnum) Dunn, St. Augustine; three daughters, Paula Crawford, North Carolina, Monica O"Grady, Florida, and Lisa Kuhn, Colorado; one son, James Dunn, New Jersey; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Julia Dunn, and a son, Michael Cameron Dunn.
