Joseph John Fazio, 77, of St. Augustine, Fla., died Dec. 22, 2010 at Kindred Hospital, Green Cove Springs, Fla. He was a native and lifelong resident of St. Augustine.

He was a member of Cathedral Parish where he served as an usher, Elks Lodge BPOE No. 829 where he called Bingo on Thursday nights, and Knights of Columbus. He had been a Aircraft electrician at Fairchild. He retired from NAS Jacksonville. Mr. Fazio proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. ÊÊ

ÊFuneral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at Cathedral-Basilica of St. Augustine.Ê Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. and prayers will be said at 5 p.m. at Craig Funeral Home. Burial will be in Craig Memorial Park.

He was preceded in death by his son, Joseph J. Fazio, Jr., and brother Frank Fazio

ÊHe is survived by his wife of 54 years, Thelma; daughter, Elizabeth Able (Randall); brothers, Dominic, James, John, Sam and Victor; five grandchildren, Natasha, Carrie, Matthew, Kevin and Nicholas; three great grandchildren, Jasmine, Anthony and Neila; and daughter in law, Darlene Fazio.
