Helen May Penn Ebersold passed away Dec. 9, 2012, at The Bailey Family Center for Caring - Flagler Hospital campus surrounded by her loving family.

Helen was born in La Pine, Ala., Jan. 13, 1924, and was a longtime resident of St. Augustine.

Helen leaves to cherish her memory: her son, Lee Ebersold (Cindy) of St. Augustine, Fla.; daughter, Patsy Conley of Cleburne, Texas and Danny Ebersold (Molly) of St. Augustine. She is also survived by her brother, Harold Penn of Tampa, Fla., and sister, Barbara Tschanen (Ron) of Ponte Vedra Beach. In addition to her children, Helen is survived by many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews as well as loving extended family members and friends.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Cassel Ebersold, Jr.; her parents, Wiley Lamar Penn and Bessie Mae Penn; her brother, James Wiley Penn; and sisters, Eleanor Perkins, Virginia Ebersold, Betty Fay Tucker, Sylvia Ann Tredinnick; and son-in-law, Harry W. Conley.

She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church of St. Augustine and a member of the Elands St Augustine Elks lodge 829.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in downtown St. Augustine located at 118 King St.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida.
