Ryan Scott Ford, 19, of St. Augustine, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday morning at Shands Hospital in Jacksonville.
Ryan was a lifelong resident of St. Augustine, and was a senior at Pedro Menendez High School. Ryan had an outgoing personality, a very memorable smile, and was well known and loved by his peers. He loved the outdoors, where he spent time working on projects and going out on the water. He also enjoyed working on and adventuring in his blue 1993 Ford F-150. Most of all though, he loved his family, and was loved by them. Ryan will be missed very much by all of those who knew and loved him. He was a member of Anastasia Baptist Church.
He is survived by his mother and father, Linda and Bubba Ford; a sister, Kristi Ford; a brother, Christopher Ford; maternal grandparents, Donald and Joyce Moll; paternal grandmother, June Ford; aunts, Cherry Bland, Mary Jane Nearbin (Mike), Beverly Drawdy (Ronnie) and Amy Moll; uncles, Glenn Moll and Henry Ford, all of St. Augustine; great uncles, Ken Easterling (Gladys), Roger Easterling (Marcia); and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Henry Ford.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan 31, 2013 at Anastasia Baptist Church with the Rev. Mason Reigger and the Rev. Ron Moore, officiating. Interment will follow at Craig Memorial Park. A visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at St. Johns Family Funeral Home.
