Helen Richardson passed away on March 13, 2013, at the Moultrie Creek Rehabilitation Center at the age of 89. Helen was born and lived into her early 20s in Boston, Mass., where she met her husband, William C. Richardson. They were married in Gulfport, Miss., prior to his deployment in World War II. Helen and Bill and their three children (William Alan, Mark Edward and Sandra Louise) lived in many locations in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s (ranging from California, Oregon, Colorado, New Jersey, Florida, New York, Indiana) moving with Bill"s career. Despite the many moves the family always considered Cape Cod, Mass., as their home in the summer months.
Helen worked as a cosmetics sales consultant for Max Factor in the 1960s and 1970s. Upon Bill"s retirement they settled in Jacksonville, Fla., and opened a cosmetics retail business. With their full-time retirement they moved to St. Augustine where they lived since 1987. Helen enjoyed the many friends and acquaintances made in St. Augustine over 25 years.
Helen is predeceased by her twin sister and husband. She is survived by her three children, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family will return her remains to Cape Cod and hold a memorial service in the coming months.
Craig Funeral Home Crematory Memorial Park (www.craigfuneralhome.com) is in charge of arrangements.
