SAMUEL LEE STEWART

SPRINGVILLE- Samuel Lee Stewart was born on July 21, 1921 in Greenville, Alabama. He was a current resident of Springville, Alabama. Before retiring he worked as a crane operator in the steel industry. He is preceded in death by parents, James Stewart, Essie Mae Crenshaw Northard and Leeson Womack; children Samuel Stewart, Jr., Patricia Harmon, Henry Stewart and Cletus Stewart; grandchildren, Mark Harmon, Starlett Stewart, Justin Stewart and Samuel Stewart, III; brothers, Nolan Womack and Henry Womack; and sister, Lucia Womack. He departed this life at the age of 92, on August 18, 2013 at his residence. In passing he leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Iola Edna Stewart of Springville, Alabama; children, Leon Stewart and wife Judith of Dublin, Georgia, Jacqueline Jackson and husband Brian of Seattle, Washington, Carl Stewart of Buffalo, New York and Anthony Stewart and wife Carol of Grand Rapids, Michigan; 36 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; brother Robert Womack of Ohio; a host of nieces, nephews and other beloced friends and relatives; and beloved extended family Robert and Diane Harris. A memorial service for Mr. Stewart was held on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 1:00 pm from the Kingdom Hall Oneonta. Arrangements entrusted to Lemley Funeral Home & Crematory.
