THOMAS JEFFERSON SULLIVAN IV ASHVILLE - Thomas Jefferson Sullivan IV age 6 of Ashville flew home on May 26, 2013 while in the arms of his mommy and surrounded by his family at home. Funeral Service will be held at Flow Church in Ashville on Friday May 31, 2013 at 1 P.M. with a lie-in-state from noon to 1 P.M. Pastor Shane Bearden will officiate the service. Graveside service and interment to follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, Trussville. Morgan Funeral Chapel & Crematory directing. Thomas, aka Superman, fought a long battle and finally won against medulloblastoma- an aggressive brain cancer. Thomas loved Spongebob, Superman, Auburn Football, his sweet pets, Birdie and Richard and his dog Charlie. There will always be a hole in our family that will never heal. Ashville, Nick and Kim York, Moody, Crystal Moore, Moody, Carol & David Hall , Ashville, Samuel Fore, Ashville; Cousins, Kirsten Lambert, MacKinsey Lambert, Zoe Lambert, Alyssa Lambert, Ella White, all of Ashville, Conner York, Moody, Lindsey Hall and Brandon Hall of Ashville, T.J. Gafford and Jessica Gafford of Springville. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Pediatric Neuro-oncology for Brain Tumor Research at Children's Hospital of Alabama. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Mark Lambert, Daniel White, Matt Gafford, Nick York, Ethan Fuller, Tommy Sullivan. Honorary pallbearers will be Chad Slade and the Auburn University Football Team, the 2012 Ashville High School Football Team and Team Thomas J (Marty Crews, Josh Hardeman, Larry Hardeman, Adam Abernathy and Bill Huckbay). The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Few, Dr. Reddy and staff at Clinic 8 (CHoA), 8th floor oncology nurses, and the staff of Comfort Care Hospice. The family will accept friends for visitation from 5 to 8 P.M. on Thursday evening at Flow Church (located at 90 Sheffield Drive, Ashville).
