PELL CITY - Zachary Clinton Mason, 19, made his journey from Earth to be with his Eternal Heavenly Father on July 19, 2012 following a brief illness. A celebration of his life was held at First United Methodist Church in Pell City Sunday, July 22 at 3:00 in the afternoon in the Beacon Center. Zachary was born April 12, 1993 to Randy Mason and Melinda Pierce. He graduated from Pell City High School in May 2012 with many friends and classmates of the 100th graduation class. This was by far one of his greatest accomplishments that will be cherished for an eternity. Zachary never met a stranger! If he did not know your name, he would simply ask "uh your name?" But once he met you, he knew you and never would forget. Many of the people in Zach's life became some of his best friends that he made sure he spoke to every time he saw them. Never a stranger, always a friend in his eyes. As one of God's TRUE angels, he is most certainly sitting with the Father and the Son in Heaven having one of the biggest cheeseburger and pizza parties ever, all served with his favorite drink of Diet Dr. Pepper. It did not ever matter if it was his momma's Pepper; Zach would confiscate and say "Zach drink it!" laying claim to its contents. There are so many people that influenced and cared for Zachary that will be lost in a new world without him. He was, and is, a true inspiration to all of us. He cared deeply for everyone; not wanting to see anyone hurt, and would rush to comfort and tell them that they are ok. Though we are hurting, we know that he is watching down upon us as the Angel he always was and will continue to be. Leaving behind to carry on his memory are his parents, Randall L. Mason, Melinda & Todd Pierce; brother, Austin Mason; grandparents, Calvin & Sara Bain and Joe & Susan Pierce; a host of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and all of the extended family and friends that cared for him as one of their own. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the ARC of St. Clair County in Zachary's name. Condolences may be offered online at www.kilgroefh.com Kilgroe Funeral Home - Pell City directed the service.
