Oleta B. Buckner, 96, went to be with her Lord on May 6, 2014. She was a longtime member of Riverside Baptist Church and held many offices and teaching positions in the church. She worked tirelessly for her Lord and His church for many years. Funeral service was Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Kilgore Funeral Home. Interment was be in Coleman Cemetery in Riverside. She is preceded in death by her husband, James W. Buckner; her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Charles E. Burns; sisters, Lois B. Smith, Olna B. Allcorn, Kay B. Turner; brothers, James F., Donald E., and Harold Wayne Burns; son-in-law, Roy F. Chandler. She is survived by 1 son, Kenneth D. Buckner (wife Kitty); 1 daughter, Gail B. Chandler; 4 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends and neighbors.
