PELL CITY- Funeral service for Benjamin Madison Hestley, 78, was Friday, June 21, 2013 at 11 am at Kilgroe Chapel with burial in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Mr. Hestley passed away June 18, 2013. He is preceded in death by brothers, Louie P. Hestley, Clarence "Bud" Hestley, Waymon E. Hestley; sister, Faith Henderson. He served in the US Air Force. He retired Master Sergeant from Alabama Air National Guard 117th Tactical Reconnaissance Wing. He was a member of Pell City First United Methodist Church. He was a member of Pell City Lions Club where he served as President and District Governor. He was a member of American Legion Post 109, the Air Force Sergeants Association, member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans St. Clair Camp 308, and he was Chairman of the Board of the John W. Inzer Museum in Ashville. He is survived by wife, Neva J. Hestley; sons, Rev. Russell S. (Alice) Hestley, Alan B. (Becky) Hestley, Jeff (Vicki) Hestley; sister, Flora Bryant; grandchildren, Benjamin D. Hestley, Marie Hestley, William J. Hestley, Caroline Hestley, Andrew Hertig, Emma Lee Huneycutt, John Anthony Huneycutt; 1 great grandchild, Turner Clark Hestley; host of nieces & nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Lakeside Hospice or the John W. Inzer Museum.
