Rajah Heetai Obituary

Heetai, Rajah H.

Rajah H. Heetai age 36 of Stevens Point passed away Thursday January 24, 2013.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday February 1st, 2013 at Celebration Church (4701 Industrial Park Rd, Stevens Point WI).Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. until the time of service. Service will begin at 6:00pm officiated by Pastor Chad Raisleger.

Rajah was born April 8, 1976 in Port-Of-Spain Trinidad and is the son of Mohan and Sandra (Ali) Heetai. He graduated from St. Anthony's College in 1994. Rajah moved to the Stevens Point area in 1996. Rajah was proud to officially become a United Sates Citizen in January 2009. Rajah was employed by Sentry Insurance.

Jesus Christ was the center of Rajah's life. Rajah was a true man of God who desired to know God more and lead his family to know God more. Rajah understood that we all have fallen short of the glory of God and are only saved by his Grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Rajah also dearly loved his family and was survived by; his wife of 10 years Amanda (Freund) and all of his children Kaycee 13, Elias 7, Annalise 5, Elsa 3 and Solomon 1. As well as: his Mother Sandra (Ali) and Brother Shiva Heetai, Jenelle Heetai (sister-in-law,) Sahana (neice) 1 of Trinidad; His family through marriage Merl Freund (Dad) and Kathy Freund (Mom), of Junction City, WI, Adam Freund (Brother-in-law), Sarah Freund (sister-in-law) and nephews Jonah Freund 5 and Jack Freund 2 of Plover, WI. He was preceded in death by his father Mohan Heetai and brother Krish Heetai.

While he is sorely missed here, we take comfort in knowing that Rajah is now truly home and in the presence of God.

Rajah and I worked at Sentry the few years I lived in Point...we reconnected through Facebook. It was easy to see how he cherished his wife and family and Jazmin....but more than that....he walked the walk....true, focused, and honest in all he did....I know heaven greeted this soul with open arms as Rajah was a warrior of faith....I also know those same loving arms are wrapped around those left behind to grieve...God speed good man.....you are free.

I will miss Rajah's smile, his positive attitude and his sincere conversations - even if they only lasted as long as an elevator ride. Sentry will not be the same without him. Amanda, our family is praying for yours. May God grant Raj eternal peace.

Our thoughts and prayers to the Heetai family. Rajah was always quick to start a conversation with: "what's up my brother?" "how's the family?" Pretty much sums up Rajah. His family in faith and family at home were of utmost importance to him. He often philosophized about the legacy we should leave our families with. I think he did quite well with the time he was given. Quite well indeed. I pray that God continues to nurture that legacy for a long long time to come.

Amanda and family, I know this is a difficult time for you and your children. Please know there are many praying for you and the children. He was a man with a great sense of humor and one I was proud to call my friend. He was always the first to greet me with, "Mornin' TJ!" and chimed in whenever a joke was told. He also had many good jokes. Always a Facebook post to make you laugh. Rajah was a "foodie". If I had a question on a recipe, he was the man. I would hear him all the time ask his callers about their families and how they were doing. He was a man that genuinely cared for others. We should not weep although it is hard. For he is in the presence of the Lord God... I am reminded of the hymn, Amazing Grace. Rest in peace my friend.
