Randy L. Nimmer
Randy L. Nimmer, 58, Rosholt, died on Monday, December 3, 2012 at Ministry St. Clare's Hospital, Weston.
He was born on November 3, 1954 in Beloit, Wisconsin, the son of the late Harold Nimmer and Joan (Moody) Nimmer of Rockton, Illinois. On May 9, 1998, Randy was united in marriage to Sylvia Bembenek in King, Wisconsin. She survives. Randy grew up on the family farm in Shirland, Illinois. He was employed by Local 139 Operating Engineers for 33 years until his retirement. Randy was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and ice fishing. He had a special love for all of his dogs.
In addition to his wife, Sylvia of Rosholt and his mother, Joan Nimmer; survivors include children, Bronson (AnnDee) Nimmer, Rockton, Illinois, Chad (Tricia) Blackwell, Rockton, Illinois, Ryan (Linda) Block, DePere, Wisconsin and Dustin Block, Rosholt; six grandchildren, Boston, Dylan, BrookLynn, Nathan, Bryar and Kooper; four siblings, Becky (Tom) Hawkinson, Rockton, Illinois, Tony Nimmer, Harrison, Illinois, Fred (Merrie) Nimmer, Rockton, Illinois and Robbie (Kenny) Kiser, Shirland, Illinois; his parents-in-law, Patricia and Norman Gruna, Wittenberg and many nephews and nieces. Randy was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
The Funeral service will be held at 11AM on Friday, December 7, 2012 at Faith Lutheran Church, Rosholt. The Rev. Michael Peuse will officiate. Visitation will be on Friday from 10AM until the time of service at the church. Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg is assisting the family with arrangements. Bronson, Chad, and families, our most sincere condolances for your loss. We didn't know your dad, but he sounded like one great guy. He's in a better place now, and we pray for you and your families. Love you both.
